Nancy Dyson
Nancy was born in Holmforth in 1946. She studied general art, technical drawing, lithography and typography at Huddersfield School of Art. This led to a career in retail advertising and industrial illustration.
A professional artist for many years Nancy painted from her studio in the Yorkshire Dales. Specialising in the water-colour medium, in her work portrayed her love for this part of England with it’s beautiful villages, rivers and wildlife.
Nancy’s special interest in flowers led her work to be featured in many prestigious national magazines. In addition to this she undertook many special commissions for calendars and greetings cards for major giftware companies.
Greeted with great critical acclaim there is an enormous demand for Nancy’s work. Nancy’s paintings and limited edition prints portraying her great empathy with the British countryside have become a valued part of many private collections.
