Helen Rhodes

Helen has spent a number of years building up her technique and consolidating her reputation with consistently high quality artwork that has inspired an entire generation of art-lovers (and cat lovers!). A graduate of Loughborough College of Art and Design, Helen holds a First Class Degree in Textile Design, and she began her own business in 1994, producing and selling original pieces of artwork which were rapidly acquired by prestigious galleries throughout the country.

Helen’s inimitable style is the result of a fertile imagination combined with a disciplined technique, and it has won her universal commercial and critical acclaim. Her sparkling mixed media images achieve a uniquely rich range of colours, through the meticulous application of layers of a variety of materials including inks, paints and varnish. Her more recent forays in the medium of sculpture have enchanted her existing collectors and won her an army of new admirers.

Helen is one of the country’s most consistently successful artists. She has been the recipient of several major prizes including Gift of the Year 1998 and the Fine Art Trade Guild award for Best Up-and-Coming Artist 1999, and she was also nominated as Best-Selling Published Artist 2000. With her enviable reputation and distinctive style, there is no doubt that Helen will continue to enjoy phenomenal success with her original artwork and attract an ever growing number of collectors.
